Domenica 10 Maggio si è tenuto a Singen in Germania il campionato Europeo di Marathon; La Rothaus Hegau Bike-Marathon.
Il Team Protek si è presentato al gran completo. Molto buona la prova di Tiago Ferreira che ha dato tutto quello che aveva, reduce dalla recentissima vittoria nelle prova portoghese della Uci Marathon Series, arrivando in 6° posizione in 3h24’38” a soli 2’36” da Kulhavy.
Peccato per il Team Leader Periklis Ilias che è stato costretto a ritirarsi a causa di problemi allo stomaco.
20° posto nella prova femminile per la new entry del Team Protek la giovanissima Guzel Akhmadullina.
Tiago Ferreira ha dichiarato al termine: “è stato un buon risultato, la gara aveva molti tratti veloci, ho perso qualche posizione nello sprint, devo rivedere alcuni aspetti perché anche se ho dato il massimo probabilmente avrei potuto migliorare il piazzamento gestendomi meglio”Sunday, May 10 was held in Singen in Germany the European Championship of Marathon; The Rothaus Hegau Bike Marathon.
