Inizio di stagione esplosivo per il Team Protek: i due atleti TIAGO FERREIRA e PERIKLIS ILIAS (rispettivamente primo e secondo posto sul podio) vincono la MARATHON KAMENJAK ROCKY TRAILS in Croatia.
La domenica appena trascorsa, circa 400 bikers provenienti da tutta Europa, si sono dati battaglia sui sentieri e single track rocciosi della penisola di Premantura (Craotia), alla Marathon Kamenjak Rocky Trails, gara abbinata alla XCO svoltasi il giorno precedente e vinta dallo Slovacco Michal Lami e dalla Slovena vincitrice della Coppa del Mondo 2013 Tanja Zakelj.
Alla 11:00 il via da Premantura e dopo appena 10km, a conquistare immediatamente la testa, sono stati i due del Team Protek, PERIKLIS ILIAS e TIAGO FERREIRA, seguiti da Vito Buono del Team Biesse – Carrera e dal polacco Bartlomiej Wawak del Team JBG2.
Alla fine del primo dei tre passaggi previsti, per un totale di 66km, i due portacolori del Team Protek, il greco ed il portoghese, precedevano con un distacco di circa 30 secondi il gruppo degli inseguitori.
Il vantaggio ulteriormente incrementato nelle 2 successive tornate, permetteva ai due di gestire la gara nel migliore dei modi e giungere insieme al traguardo in 2h 38′ 29″.
Il portoghese Tiago Ferreira passava per primo la linea del traguardo, affiancato dal greco Periklis Ilias.

The two athletes of Team Protek TIAGO FERREIRA and PERIKLIS ILIAS (respectively the first and second place on the podium) win the MARATHON KAMENJAK ROCKY TRAILS in Croatia.
On Sunday just passed, about 400 bikers from all over Europe , they are given clappers on the trails and single track rocky peninsula Premantura ( Craotia ) , the Marathon Kamenjak Rocky Trails, combined with the XCO race held on the previous day and won by Slovakian Michal Lami and the Slovenian and 2013 World Cup winner Tanja ZAKELJ .
At 11:00 departure from Premantura and after just 10km , the two Team Protek , PERIKLIS ILIAS and Tiago Ferreira conquer the lead , followed by Vito Buono Team Biesse – Carrera and the Polish Bartlomiej Wawak Team JBG2 .
At the end of the first of three steps required, for a total of 66km, the two riders of Protek, the greek and Portuguese, always in the lead gained a gap of 30 seconds from the rest of the group.
The advantage further increased in the next 2 steps, allowed the two to manage the race in the best way and come together at the finish line in 2h38’29 “. Tiago Ferreira was the Portuguese who first passed the finish line , flanked by greek Periklis Ilias
