Domenica in Croazia a Lovran il team Protek si è aggiudicato la Ucka Marathon (85,7 km – 2.706 metri di dislivello) con il portoghese Tiago Ferreira che ha così accumulato altri preziosi punti in quanto la manifestazione era valida come tappa delle UCI Marathon Series.
Un abisso separa il lusitano dal secondo, il tedesco Matthias Leisling arrivato sul traguardo dopo ben 11 minuti, terzo gradino del podio per l’austriaco Christoph Soukup. In gara c’erano anche Leopoldo Rocchetti (Cingolani Specialized) giunto settimo e Roberto Crisi, decimo.
